Seagull M6 Spruce Reviews 5

I aquired this guitar from "Guitars & More" in Indianapolis, IN, U.S.A. for $385.

The guitar is very well designed and constructed. It produces a wonderful bright sound. I've had several musicians tell me that it "has a great ring to it". It is very easy to play because of the string action. I would put the quality of construction and quality of sound in the same league as a Martin Guitar.

I haven't found anything I don't like about this guitar yet.

The guitar has a solid spruce top with mahogany neck and 3-layer mahogany back and sides. The finish on the top is a semi-gloss. (New models only come with high-gloss finish)

In summary, I love this guitar and think it's one of the best made. It is by far the best value on the market today. I plan to pass this guitar down to my children.

I purchased this guitar at a Daddy's Junky Music store in Massachusetts. I paid about $445 for the guitar and the Fort case. I bought the Seagull because I heard that they were possibly the best guitars on the market. The are not only excellent guitars but they generally about twice as cheap as a Martin.

The guitar is no doubt the best guitar you can buy for the money. It is maybe even one of the best guitars...period. The sound combines a rich warm sound, with a minor "twang" which sounds beautiful. All seagull guitars i found were very easy to play. The semi gloss finish on the guitar protects the guitar as long as you dont throw against something and it looks good as well. I just installed a Fishman Acoustic Matrix II pickup in the guitar and i couldnt be more satisfied.

The only problem with the guitar that i experienced was the high action around frets 5-9. I think this was due to the cold weather outside or the coldness in the truck that it was shipped in. Other than that, I have no complaints about this guitar what-so-ever.

Seagull, obviously, makes a fine guitar. They are hand made in Canada and the craftsmanship couldnt be better. Quality wood and accessories are used to make the guitar. Great construction!!

If you are looking to buy an acoustic guitar in your price range or despite of the price range...GO WITH THE SEAGULL M6 SPRUCE!!!!!!

Bought the guitar from Mountain Music in Hamilton, Onario, Canada. Wanted a well sounding acoustic guitar for a reasonable price range. Paid $414 Canadian funds with taxes.

Produces excellent sound. Bright, vibrant and projects well with good sustain. The sound quality was much more better than most brands and comparable to higher brands that I tried out.

No top fret marker for the 3rd and 9th frets. Action is slightly high among the 5th and further frets.

Solid spruce top with a semi-gloss finish. 2 mahogony and 1 wild cherry laminated together for the sides and back. Came with Godin phosphor bronze strings in a light gauge. Excellent craftmenship and quality overall.

The seagull M6 Spruce is an outstanding acoustic guitar. The sound quality is excellent and the craftmenship is superb.
